The Southern California Occupational and Environmental Health Centers report that the first recipient of the Joyce Simonowitz Memorial Award is Bonnie Schuur, a second-year student in the University of California, Los Angeles Occupational and Environmental Health Nursing Administration program.Simonowitz, a longtime occupational health nurse and Cal/OSHA inspector, died in 2002.
