Further Consequences of Underground Tank Explosions

LOS ANGELES - On April 6, Cal-OSHA completed its investigation of the circumstances surrounding explosions and flash fires at two underground gasoling storage tank (UST) sites in California. Citations for a number of serious violations of the confined space safety orders were issued as well as thousands of dollars in proposed penalties.The accidents both happened last December at service stations.
