Governor’s Office Taking Workers’ Comp Benefit Increase Lead

Even before Gov. Davis vetoed this year's workers' compensation benefit increase bill at the end of September, a draft version of new legislation for next year was already floating around.This time, though, the proposed bill is coming from the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), which is fronting for Davis on the issue, sources say.
