Head Protection Proposal Dropped

Taking its cue from an advisory committee, the Cal/OSH Standards Board's staff has decided to take no action on a proposal to require head protection for workers who use all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, bicycles and motorcycles.The committee, which met Sept. 26, came to a consensus conclusion that the board should not amend or revise existing statutory language, General Industry Safety Order (GISO) 3381.
