Heat Illness, Toxic-Substances Bills Approved by Assembly, – Now in Senate

AB 805, which would require Cal/OSH Standards Board to adopt a heat illness prevention standard by the end of next year, has been approved by the state Assembly and has passed its first committee test in the Senate.The standard would require employers to establish, implement and maintain effective, written procedures to identify and evaluate heat illness hazards, and take steps to protect employees.It was approved by the Assembly, 43-34, in June and was passed by the Senate Labor an
