Help for Hispanic Workers

The U.S. Department of Labor is aiming programs at helping Hispanic workers and reducing their on-the-job injuries, illnesses and fatalities. Statistics show that, although comprising only 13 percent of the work force, 15 percent of the workers who died in 2002 were Hispanic. They are also more likely to be injured or become ill on the job than the general population.
