Manufacturer’s Failure to Warn Was Costly

SACRAMENTO - Because a manufacturer failed to supply a warning, the Supreme Court of Alabama upheld a $2.7 million verdict in favor of Christopher LaCombe against Precise Engineering, a pump jack manufacturer. The company lost the product liability suit on grounds it negligently failed to warn LaCombe of the danger in using pump jacks on long poles.
