OAKLAND -- The North American Crane Bureau (NACB) has submitted a petition to the Cal/OSH Standards Board to clarify crane operator qualifications that competes with a petition filed last year by a contractors' group.The previous petition, submitted by the Associated General Contractors of California (AGC) in October, requested that the board amend General Industry Safety Order 5006 to spell out operator qualifications equivalent to the national consensus standard, ASME B30.5.
