SAN JOSE -- The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration has published a revised standard for exit routes, emergency action and fire prevention plans designed to make it more user friendly and easier to understand. The changes become effective Dec. 7, 2002.OSHA Administrator John Henshaw noted that the current standard is 30 years old "and in need of updating."
