Pipeline Hoist To Have Automatic Controls

The Shea/Traylor joint venture building an 11-mile pipeline in Southern California plans to get workers to the job site using personnel hoists. But it isn't practical to hire full-time operators as regulations require, the company says, so it asked Cal/OSHA to allow use of automatic controls.
