Standards Board Adopts Pile-Driving, Crane Signalling Revisions

SAN DIEGO -- The Cal/OSH Standards Board adopted two safety order proposals at its April 15 meeting here, including revisions to Title 8's pile-driving regulation and a change that clarifies who can signal a crane operator to stop the crane.The pile-driving revisions are the result of two petitions from the Pile Drivers, Bridge, Dock and Wharf Builders Local 2375, and are intended to resolve discrepancies between state and federal language and replace outdated terminology in Construction Safety Ord
