SAN DIEGO - The long-awaited, much-discussed proposal for prevention of cumulative trauma disorders (ergonomics) came before the Cal-OSH Standards Board for a vote at its November 17 meeting. A small amount of public comment, almost all negative, was permitted before the vote. The vote itself was entirely negative.To begin with, Chairman Jere Ingram announced that he would allow time for brief comments on the proposal, General Industry 5110, which had been modified and sent out for 15-day notice.
