Standards Board’s “Ambitious” 2000 Agenda Includes 64 Title 8 Proposals

SACRAMENTO -- The Cal/OSH Standards Board has set its course for the coming year, with a rulemaking calendar that includes 64 sets of revisions to Title 8 safety orders, not including a proposal that was subject to a public hearing in January. "It's an ambitious plan," said John MacLeod, the board's executive officer.The rulemaking agenda is merely a list of potential actions and is required annually by the Office of Administrative Law. "It doesn't mean we plan to act on everything," MacLeod noted.
