Standards Board’s Davis to Retire

Mel Davis, the OSH Standards Board's principal safety engineer, has announced his retirement, effective May 31. Davis, who has worked for the state of California in one capacity or another for 40 years, has been in the safety sector since 1973, when he joined the then-Division of Industrial Safety in its compliance division. He joined the Standards Board in 1981.There was no word at press time about a possible replacement
