OAKLAND - Instead of appealing, Wyman-Gordon Forgings, Inc., has agreed to pay $1,803,500 in penalties proposed by OSHA after investigation of a catastrophic accident late in 1996. The accident at the Houston, TX, facility killed eight workers---some who had only been on the job a few weeks---and injured two others.
