SACRAMENTO - The progress of proposed General Industry 5110, for ergonomics, vividly illustrates the tripartite nature of the Cal-OSHA program. Because 5110 is considered a health standard, it was drafted (and repeatedly redrafted) by Division of Occupational Safety and Health staff in consultation with a large, outspoken advisory committee.
