Virgin Islands Converts to Public Plan

LOS ANGELES -- The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration has announced that the territory of the U.S. Virgin Islands has converted its comprehensive state plan to a public employee-only state plan. Fed-OSHA assumed jurisdiction over private sector employers and workers July 1.The territory will continue enforcement coverage of local government and will enter into a cooperative agreement with OSHA to provide on-site consultation services to the private sector.V.I. received final app
