Whistleblower Bill Clears Assembly

SAN DIEGO -- AB 572, which would strengthen protections for workers who report hazardous working conditions or refuse to work under unsafe conditions, was approved by the state Assembly on June 2, 45-33.Among its provisions, the bill would make it a misdemeanor for an employer to knowingly conceal an unsafe working condition, if the condition causes death or serious injury.
