Pressure Vessels, Fired Boilers, Purging Firebox Gases Prior to Lighting Off. An alleged serious violation of 763(k) was set aside. The City of Hanford had contracted with an independent consultant to repair and relight a gas fired hot water boiler located in a municipal auditorium. While engaged in this, a firebox explosion occurred, killing the independent consultant.
