Counterweights, Guarding. A general violation of 3318 was affirmed. Employer was charged with 25 instances of a violation of 3318. The counterweights were used to hold open fire doors.
The DOSH engineer testified that he did not count the fire doors in the plant, but that he was told that there were approximately 25 fire doors operated by counterweights. DOSH presented as evidence photographs of two fire doors.
