This appeal was denied. The alleged serious violation of 4999(a) (crane load capacity) and the proposed $400 penalty were affirmed. The Employer was charged with allowing employees to use a three-ton crane to pick up weights of 15,000 to 17,500 pounds. Employees were exposed to the potentially serious hazards of hoisted trailers tipping over or the crane breaking.
