A serious violation of 1709 (roof overloading prohibited) was affirmed, with $250 penalty.

Roof, Load Exceeded Design Capacity.

Employer was re-roofing a warehouse. An employee was injured when a roof section collapsed under the weight of a pile of the old roofing materials, which had been stripped off. Employer "was cited for loading the roof in excess of its safe carrying capacity."
