The Appeals Board denied the petition to reconsider its order denying a late appeal.
Appeal, Late Filing. "Labor Code section 6601 provides that employers have 15 working days from receipt of a citation...to notify the Board of an intent to contest the citation, otherwise the citation shall be deemed a final order of the Board, not subject to review by any court or agency." The 15-day deadline may be extended by the Board on a showing of good cause.
