CAL. CODE REGS, tit. 8, 4853(d) (2000) - The Division failed to prove that gas tungsten-arc welding (GTAW or TIG) is inert-gas metal-arc welding within the meaning of the cited safety order. The ALJ based his conclusions on the evident intent of the Cal/OSH Standards Board when it adopted federal regulations that relied upon American Welding Society definitions. No violation was established.
