CRANE -LOADING BEYOND RATED CAPACITY
CAL. CODE REGS, tit. 8, 4999(a) (2000) - Although Employer properly planned and calculated a crane load, a tip-over occurred anyway, because the crane operator exceeded the radius specified in Employer's plan. Two employees were exposed to the hazard; a violation was established. The serious classification was not appropriate since Employer could not have known the crane operator would exceed the radius.
