MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT - LOCKING OUT OR DE-ENERGIZING DURING REPAIR AND SET-UP OPERATIONS
CAL. CODE REGS, tit. 8, 3314(b) (2001) - The Appeals Board reversed an ALJ decision granting an appeal, finding that an injured employee was engaged in a set-up operation and the machinery was not locked-out or de-energized at the time. The employee was observing a press while it was running, and Employer could have been excepted from the requirements of subsection (b) by complying with subsection (e), but it did not.
