CODE REGS, tit. 8, § 3328(g) (2002) - The Appeals Board agreed with the ALJ that Employer did not adequately inspect a large tank that contained scalding water, but merely had employees check the exterior visually in the course of other duties. This inadequate action failed to disclose corrosion and other deterioration that led to a weld's rupture and an employee's serious injury from scalding water.
