LOGGING OPERATIONS - FELLING DANGEROUS TREES AND SNAGS
CAL. CODE REGS, tit. 8, § 6259(a) (2003) - The Appeals Board disagreed with the ALJ that a dead tree, which was knocked over onto an employee by side wash during a break out operation, had appeared to be sufficiently dangerous to trigger the requirement that it be felled before the other operation continued. The Board vacated a serious violation and its penalty.
