FALL PROTECTION - LEADING EDGE
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 1670(a) (2005) - The Appeals Board rejected the ALJ decision affirming a charge that Employer failed to provide fall protection to an employee working on a leading edge, finding it not supported by the evidence. The worker who fell was installing plywood between beams and joists to create a forming table for concrete, but the evidence was not specific enough to show his exact location at the time he fell so that his actions would be covered by the cited safety order.
