HAZARDOUS ENERGY CONTROL - WRITTEN PROCEDURES
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 3314(g)(2)(A) (2012) - Employer’s written hazardous energy control procedures did not include separate procedural steps for the safe lockout/tagout of each machine or piece of equipment, or for an almond dicer machine that was involved in an injury accident.
HAZARDOUS ENERGY CONTROL - CLEANING, SERVICING AND ADJUSTING OPERATIONS
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 3314(c) (2012) - The power source to Employer’s almond dicer machine was not de-energized or disengaged, and the moveable parts were not mechanically blocked or locked out to prevent inadvertent movement, which resulted in a serious injury to an employee.
