45 COR 40-8076 [¶22,882] CONSTRUCTION SAFETY ORDERS – FALL PROTECTION, PERSONAL FALL ARREST SYSTEMS, PERSONAL FALL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS AND POSITIONING DEVICES Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 1670(a) (2018) – Employer did not ensure that an employee who worked near an unprotected edge wore fall protection. The violation was properly classified as serious, accident-related. CONSTRUCTION SAFETY ORDERS – DEMOLITION, SUPERVISION Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 1734(a) (2018) – The Division did not establish a violation because the employees were not engaged in demolition. They were removing only asbestos products, not structural members. Therefore, Employer was not in violation of the safety order.
