Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 3203(a)(7)(B) (2013) – Employer did not provide training to a new employee on procedures for assembly and disassembly of a crane.

CRANES AND DERRICKS IN CONSTRUCTION – ASSEMBLY/DISASSEMBLY, CREW INSTRUCTIONS
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 1611.2(d)(1) (2013) – Employer’s crane assembly/disassembly director failed to ensure that crew members understood the hazardous positions and locations to avoid.

CRANES AND DERRICKS IN CONSTRUCTION – WORKING UNDER BOOM, JIB OR OTHER COMPONENTS
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 1611.2(f)(1) (2013) – Employer’s employee was under a crane boom when pins were removed, resulting in a serious injury to him.

CRANES AND DERRICKS IN CONSTRUCTION – DISASSEMBLY, PINS ON BOOM SECTIONS
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 1611.3(b) (2013) – Employer’s employee removed the bottom pins joining the butt section and the “hammerhead” sections of a crane, while the pendants were still under tension; and the bridle had not been attached to the butt section, resulting in a serious injury.
