HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL SAFETY - VOLTAGE DETERMINATION
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 2940.1(a) (2011) - Employer’s employees did not determine the operating voltage of buses. The Division established a violation.
HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL SAFETY - QUALIFIED ELECTRICAL WORKERS
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 2940(c) (2011) - Employer’s employees, who were assigned to work on energized conductors, were not qualified electrical workers. In the event of an accident caused by the violation, a serious injury was substantially probable.
HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL SAFETY - PROTECTION FROM BACKFEED VOLTAGES
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 2940.9 (2011) - Employer’s employees were exposed to the hazard of failure to eliminate all sources of backfeed to a high-voltage conductor. Employer was an exposing employer under §336.10(a). The violation was properly classified as accident-related serious.
