INJURY AND ILLNESS PREVENTION PROGRAM (IIPP) – PROCEDURES FOR IDENTIFYING AND EVALUATING WORKPLACE HAZARDS
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 3203(a)(4) (2016) – Employer violated the safety order by not having procedures in place for identifying work safe practices and evaluating workplace hazards. Specifically, it lacked written procedures to cover hazards associated with unloading shipments of plastic pipes.
JURISDICTION – STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS, SIX MONTH PERIOD
Labor Code § 6317 (2016) – The Division issued a citation to Employer within the six-month limitations period for a continuing violation §3203(a)(4).
MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT – SAFE OPERATING CONDITION
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 3328(g) (2016) – Employer violated the safety order by failing to maintain a forklift in safe operating condition during moving, loading and unloading of materials.
