MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT - DE-ENERGIZING BEFORE CLEANING
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 3314(c) (2009) - The Division established a violation because the injured employee did not de-energize the power source while adjusting the belt on the pulley of a compressor.
HAZARDOUS ENERGY CONTROL - CLEANING, REPAIRING, SERVICING, SETTING-UP, AND ADJUSTING OPERATIONS
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 3314(g)(1) (2009) - The record suggested that a general energy control procedure existed, as the injured employee admitted violating it. However, the Division cited the wrong subsection of the safety order with respect to the alleged violation.
