CRANES AND HOISTING EQUIPMENT - TAG OR RESTRAINT LINES
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 4993(b) (2009) - Rigging, load attaching equipment, consisting of a spreader bar and hook block, suspended from the hoist line of a crane, was a “load” within the meaning of the safety order. The load was not restrained by a tag or restraint lines at a time when the rotation of the load exposed an employee to the hazard of being hit by the load.
