CLEANING, REPAIRING, SERVICING AND ADJUSTING PRIME MOVERS, MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT – MATERIALS AND HARDWARE
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 3314(e) (2015) – The Board granted Employer’s appeal of a citation for failure to provide locks required for cleaning operations at the place, and prior to the time, that they might be needed. The safety order did not apply to the particular cleaning operation because the conveyor could not be both locked out and in motion at the same time.

Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 3314(c) (2015) – The Board upheld a citation for failure to ensure a crossover conveyor was de-energized for cleaning activities.
PRIME MOVERS AND MACHINERY – CONVEYORS
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 3999(b) (2015) – The Board upheld a citation for failure to guard a head pulley of conveyor, resulting in serious injury.
