Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 2500.8(a)(1) (2017) – Employer violated the safety order by failing to ensure that the flexible extension cord powering a paint mixer was not substituted for the fixed wiring of the building.

WOODWORKING MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT – TABLE SAWS, MANUAL FEED (CLASS B) – GUARDED BY HOOD
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 4300.1(a) (2017) – Employer failed to ensure that a hand-fed table saw was guarded by a hood that completely enclosed the portion of the saw above the table and the portion of the blade above the material being cut.

WOODWORKING MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT – TABLE SAWS, MANUAL FEED (CLASS B) – SPREADER PROVIDED AND FASTENED SECURELY TO SAW
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 4300.1(b) (2017) – Employer failed to ensure that a saw was equipped with a spreader fastened securely to the saw.

Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 4300.1(c)(1) (2017) – Employer failed to ensure that a saw was guarded by a hood designed to prevent a “kickback.”
