Led by sizable decreases in construction, manufacturing and utilities, but increases in other areas, California workplaces saw a slight drop overall in injuries and illnesses in 2007, according to data just released by the state Division of Labor Statistics and Research (DLSR). Eleven employment sectors showed decreases for 2007 and five increased.
