Flash Report: California Loses a Longtime Safety Professional

Bob D'Amato, 65, a 40-year veteran of California's occupational safety and health community, died July 31. A consultant with American Safety Institute in Long Beach, D'Amato had recently reduced his workload after having been diagnosed with heart problems, according to longtime friend Esther Santiago. He is survived by his daughter Kimberly.
