As promised by California Senate President Pro Tem at the Jan. 7 confirmation hearing for Cal/OSH Appeals Board Chair Candice Traeger, the board has a new labor member, after several years of vacancy. Former Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Chief Arthur Carter, 67, has been named to the post. His appointment, which pays $111,845, requires Senate confirmation.
