Cal/OSHA's Asbestos Trainer Approval Unit (ATAU) is forming an advisory committee to help guide the program, Cal/OSHA Chief John Howard announced.Rick Axe, the unit's manager, is soliciting members for the committee. ATAU approves trainers as required by the national Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA). Any training provider who offers asbestos training in California must submit an application to the Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) and be approved by ATAU. C
