Fed-OSHA Wants Comments on Tuberculosis Studies

OAKLAND -- The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration has reopened the rulemaking record on its proposed standard to regulating occupational exposure to tuberculosis (TB).Fed-OSHA will keep the record open until Aug. 2. In particular, it is looking for comments on a recent report it issued on TB control practices in homeless shelters, and a National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) evaluation on TB exposure from processing medical wastes.The agency has placed
