OAKLAND -- The Cal/OSH Standards Board has announced two new proposed safety order revisions, including an update to the General Industry Safety Orders (GISO) requirements for head protection and the correction of an error in the Airborne Contaminants standard.Both items will be the subject of a public hearing July 15 in Sacramento.The first proposal would revise GISO 3381, which requires employees to wear head protection when exposed to falling or flying objects and/or electrical shock.
