SAN FRANCISCO - Cranes, crime and ergonomics occupied the Cal-OSH Standards Board at its June 22 public meeting and hearing. Members present were Kenneth Young, Sopac Tompkins, James Smith, William Jackson and Gwendolyn Berman. Jackson presided in the absence of Chairman Jere Ingram.Bob Downey, Associated General Contractors of California, presented the board with a letter objecting to the Division of Occupational Safety and Health's interpretation of General Industry 4924(b) for load safety devices.
