Digest of COSHAB's Decision After Reconsideration dated October 16, 1987, Docket No. 85-R2D3-1769. Elaine W. Donaldson, Chairman; Michael R. Monagan, Member.

The Appeals Board affirmed in part and reversed in part the ALJ decision of December 1, 1986. The Board found one abatement requirement reasonable, and extended another on the basis of Employer's claim of newly discovered evidence. Violations and dispositions were:

4051(a) (projecting shaft ends); the abatement change was found reasonable. One of Employer's printing presses had paper rolls with unguarded shaft ends 1-1/2" in diameter; these protruded four inches beyond the ends of the bearings.
