CAL. CODE REGS, tit. 8, § 4002(a) (2001) - The Division did not establish a guarding violation for a guy line winding drum because there was no employee exposure to the hazard during legitimate work assignments.
EXPOSURE TO HAZARD
A partially guarded guy line winding drum on a logging yarder was not in violation where there was no employee exposure to the hazard during legitimate work assignments and the employer could not have foreseen the hazard to an employee who admittedly disregarded safety training.
