LOADS - SECURING AGAINST DISPLACEMENT
CAL. CODE REGS, tit. 8, § 3704 (2002) - A load of glass on a truck was not secured against dangerous displacement before two workers tried to tip them far enough out to insert a cardboard sheet behind them. An employee was seriously injured when the stack of leaning glass sheets he was trying to hold in place fell and broke over him. Employer did not enforce its policy that the glass should have been unloaded in individual sheets to insert the cardboard when it was inadvertently forgotten during the loading process.
