MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT - GUARDING IN-RUNNING ROLLS
CAL. CODE REGS, tit. 8, § 4441 (2003) - The requirement that lithographic printing presses be guarded at the in-running side of the rollers was not violated. Employer's press had a hinged guard that could be lifted up while the machine was running. The Division contended that the safety order mandated fixed guards or an interlock system, but the ALJ found that none of the applicable safety orders required this.
