ELECTRIC WELDING, CUTTING AND HEATING – ARC WELDING AND CUTTING, ELECTRODES REMOVED AND HOLDERS PLACED TO PREVENT EMPLOYEE INJURY
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 4851(g) (2017) – Employer failed to ensure that the electrode was removed from an unattended electrode holder to prevent employee injury. The electrode in the unattended electrode holder created a hazard of electrocution or impalement.
CONFINED SPACES – PERMIT-REQUIRED CONFINED SPACES, GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 5157(c)(1) (2017) – Employer failed to evaluate the workplace to determine if there were permit-required confined spaces and, therefore, failed to minimize employee exposure to the hazards of confined spaces.
